HyundaiSalesTraining.com.
Hyundai Performance Institute makes it easy for you to learn in the flow of work, get certified, and enjoy an
ever-expanding menu of fun and engaging product and brand content offerings.
Like the Hyundai brand itself, Hyundai Performance Institute will continue to evolve over time, expanding the
range of learning and content support for additional roles to deliver a personalized learning experience for
your dealership team.
To ensure the best possible user experience, dealerships will transition to the new app in a five-phase
registration process, with the first phase beginning on August 1st.
A. Hyundai dealerships are migrating to the Hyundai Performance Institute app in five phases between
August and early 2024. You’ll be receiving communications approximately two weeks before your dealership’s
scheduled registration phase, so stay tuned!
A. Currently, use of the HPI app is by invitation only. Dealerships are being migrated to the HPI app in phases. To learn what phase your dealership is in, please contact your Sales Market Manager.
Enter your HMA/DLR ID and the cell phone number of the device you're going to use for accessing the
app. (This is a one-time authentication process to ensure maximum security of your data.)
On launch day, you’ll receive a confirmation text with a link to the app.
Tap the link and your pre-authenticated app will auto-download—no login needed!
A. Once you’ve completed your authentication process in the HPI Registration section, you’re all set! On launch day,
you’ll receive a text with a direct link to access the app. Just click the link to start the automatic download, say
yes or accept any prompts, and begin enjoying your new learning experience!
A. The link is active for seven (7) days. If it has been longer than seven days, please email support@HyundaiPerformanceInstitute.com or call 866-828-3811 to get a new link.
A. Links for new users are generated Monday through Friday at Noon and 5:00 PM Eastern. If you registered on the weekend, or after regular business hours, you would receive your link the next business day. If you need to request a new link, please email support@HyundaiPerformanceInstitute.com or call 866-828-3811.
A. The portal recognizes users whose profiles match criteria, such as eligible job roles and dealerships. If you are in an eligible job role and dealership and have been recently added to WebDCS please wait one business day and try again. If the error persists, please email support@HyundaiPerformanceInstitute.com or call 866-828-3811.
A. Once you’re in the app, you'll be greeted with a welcome video and a brief, guided tutorial on how to use the
app, including setting up your avatar. After that, you can explore and discover at your leisure!
A. For now, only Hyundai sales dealership personnel who have the job roles of Sales Consultant (SP) and Sales
Manager (SM) have access to the app as they're required to complete STAR Certification. However, there are
plans to expand access to additional dealership roles in the future.
A. The playlists that are required for certification are in the Activities section of the app which appears within
the center of the home screen’s Dashboard view.
A. If you have not received an registration invitation communication, you are not part of the current onboarding
phase. Please continue to visit HyundaiSalesTraining.com to complete your sales certification until you have
received an registration invitation.
A. STAR Rewards will not be affected by the app transition. Completion of required content in Hyundai
Performance Institute will yield the same STAR Rewards credits.
A. When new certification content becomes available, you'll receive a notification through the app that there's
new required training (activity) for you to complete. Once you complete each required training activity, your
certification status will be updated automatically. It is still expected that certification will renew monthly.

new or required content becomes available, you'll receive a notification through the app. Once you complete

offers very clear guidance of your status, so dive in and enjoy!
A. The training content in Hyundai Performance Institute will evolve over time; however, the initial change you
will notice is that all certification and content offerings have been optimized for an on-the-go mobile
experience.
Beyond certification training, you will notice several new and different ways to interact with training content
to allow you to practice your skills in the app, get immediate feedback, and even level up your skills through
your personal performance dashboard.
A. Yes, click on the Library icon at the bottom of the screen. The Hyundai Performance Institute Library will offer
you access to an increasing library of product and brand resources. At time of launch, the initial content will
be a bit limited, however all future content will be easily searchable through the app.

A. The Hyundai Performance Institute chat function is monitored and supported by humans, who stand ready to
answer app-related questions and offer professional encouragement and support. This is not an AI chatbot.
You can use the voice recording function on your cell phone to record voice to text.
A. All the same reporting that is available today continues to be available through HyundaiSalesTraining.com –
login as usual to see and download individual and dealership reports.
A. There is a 12-hour lag between completion of STAR Certification and dashboard update. For STAR Certification completed over a weekend, certification status is updated by Monday, Noon Eastern.
A. Reporting will be available in the Hyundai Performance Institute app once all dealerships are migrated (early
2024). For now, the same reports you have always accessed continue to be available on
HyundaiSalesTraining.com.
In the future, a comprehensive performance dashboard will be available on the app. This dashboard will allow
individuals to check their own status and progress and enable managers to recognize and coach individual
and team performance.
A. Typically, new dealership employees receive their learning systems invitation between 48 to 72 hours after being
entered into WebDCS. Please note that new hires receive emails from Hyundai Performance Institute for
completing certification and Hyundai Sales Training for access to reporting.
